Dr. Jason Bay

Lead Pastor

Dr. Jason Bay

Dr. Jason Bay has served as Lead Pastor of First Baptist Church since December 2014. His job duties include casting the vision and overseeing the direction of the church as a whole. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University with advanced degrees from Southwestern Theological Seminary, and, most recently, obtained his Doctorate of Ministry from Dallas Theological Seminary. Jason married his beautiful wife Kim in 2003 and together they have 10 children: Noah, Elijah, Abigail, Lily, Jeremiah, Zoe, Hannah, Sophia, Samuel, and Magdalene. In what little spare time he has, he enjoys riding horses, writing, and spending time with family.

Linda Webb

Executive Administrator

Linda Webb

Linda is our Executive Administrator. Her role is to help support our staff and oversee the day-to-day functions of the church. Linda has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Houston as well as an Associate’s degree in Office Administration from Lamar University. She and her husband, Danny, have been married 41 years. Together they have two children and two grandchildren, who they absolutely adore. Besides serving at FBC, Linda loves shopping, reading, traveling, and meeting new people. We are so blessed to have her on our team.

Allen Barnes

Worship Pastor

Allen Barnes

Allen Barnes has served as Worship Pastor at First Baptist Church since September 2022, but has been a big part of our church since 2016. His job duties include overseeing the direction of our worship ministry at FBC as well as coordinating student life alongside our College and Youth Pastors. Allen has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Sam Houston State University (Eat ‘em up Kats)! In his free time, Allen enjoys reading, playing video games, and everything Star Wars!

Chad Laurain

Youth Pastor

Chad Laurain

Chad joined First Baptist Church in January 2023 as the Youth Pastor. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Ministry & Leadership from Oral Roberts University, Oklahoma. In his spare time, Chad enjoys reading, spending time with his family, and being outdoors.

Debra Wion

Children's Event Coordinator

Debra Wion

Debra has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Sam Houston State University. She has been married to her husband, Jeremy, since 2006. Together they have two girls: Alissa and Lydia. When Debra is not planning children's events at the church or homeschooling her girls, she enjoys volunteering with her children's American Heritage Girls Troop and loves to read.

Rob Hipp

Media & Community Outreach Minister

Rob Hipp

Rob Hipp joined the First Baptist Church staff in late 2023 as Media and Community Outreach Minister, bringing his enthusiasm for faith and community engagement to Huntsville and Walker County. Married to Bridget, with two children, Caden and Braelyn, Rob is deeply committed to family and faith. His background as a sports broadcaster for Sam Houston State University and North Dakota State University complements his current role, where he also serves as director of Spirit Media, operating the Christian radio station, Spirit Radio FM, in Huntsville. Rob's passion for sports and community service continues to influence his work and outreach efforts.

Don Jackson

Family Connections Pastor

Don Jackson

Don Jackson joined First Baptist Church in February of 2024. His role as Family Connections Pastor is a part-time position primarily to meet, exhort and encourage visitors to FBC, assist in new member transitions, and actively seek opportunities to serve our FBC families and communities. He is married to his wife Darlene for 38 years and has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Don retired from public education after 35 years of service and is currently the Head of School at Alpha Omega Academy here in Huntsville. He has a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University which has led to a lifetime of teaching, preaching, reaching, and coaching others toward a devoted relationship with their Savior, Jesus Christ.

Phyllis Dillard

Activities Coordinator

Phyllis Dillard

Phyllis Dillard has been on staff at First Baptist Church since January 2002, but has been a member here for thirty years. Her job duties include overseeing the family life center and coordinating events that are held there. Phyllis has been married to her husband, Jimmy since 1967, and together they have one child, Christie, a son-in-law, Walter, and two grandchildren, Nate and Cydney. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, reading, and working with flowers.

Molly Jannett

Front Office Receptionist

Molly Jannett

Molly Jannett has been on staff at First Baptist Church since May 2019 as our Front Office Receptionist. When she's not greeting those who enter the front office or answering the phone, Molly assists with our Greeter Ministry, Condolence Committee, and Children's Ministry. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and gardening.

Jay and Baylee Gill

College Ministers

Jay and Baylee Gill

Jay and Baylee Gill first visited First Baptist Church in January 2023 while attending college and officially joined in March 2023. After planting deeper roots with their wedding ceremony at the church, they began leading the college ministry together in September 2023. In their free time, they enjoy watching movies, playing games, and hosting game nights with friends.
